Last Ditch Remedy frontman Paul Baldwin begins, "We want to say something about love, anger, struggle, redemption, and the opportunity we all have to create the kind of world we want by example. And what we want most is to share that something with other kids out there."

From the opening bars of "The Following", Baldwin and LDR make it clear that they have all of that on their minds and more. From the political tension of "This War" to the social commentary of "The Following", Last Ditch Remedy take on more than the "I Miss You's" of the emo-pop radio set. Hard and hooky, tender and angry, LDR cite the Deftones and Armor For Sleep as influences while drawing musical comparisons to All American Rejects and Taking Back Sunday.

Born in the basement of a Puyallup, WA, sub-division, no one really expected much from a band from a sleepy farming-turned-bedroom-community to amount to much (Puyallup's claim to fame is now being home to one of the largest casinos in the state, as well as home to the state fairgrounds), but in short order LDR was strutting across stages at local band battles, wowing audiences with a devastating live show and polished performance that left mouths hanging open in disbelief: where did THEY come from?

Paul Baldwin (vocals and guitar), Blaine Baird (bass), Josh Russell (guitar), and Brian Rowland (drums) began playing together during their sophomore year of high school. In just a year they recorded an e.p. featuring the cuts "Aim It Pull it Run" and "Angel", already crowd favorites. Soon they had taken up residence at several All-Ages clubs run out of makeshift venues in Seattle and Tacoma. All still kids themselves, LDR have taken the thrill of first love, the pain of first loss, and their own hunger to understand the whys of the world and set it all to music.

Last Ditch Remedy spent much of 2006 touring the country in anticipation of their debut album's release. Last Ditch Remedy's debut full-length "The Following" will be released August 22nd, 2006, on Cake.
